National Manager of Training Advisors

Our client employer is a 100% New Zealand-owned Private Training Establishment (PTE) with over 25 years of experience, delivering high-quality NZQA accredited safety training in various industries, including:

Overall purpose 

You will be responsible for the overall management of training advisors, development and supporting the operational excellence of programmes and apprenticeships and their training programmes, ensuring their growth, quality and alignment the employer organisation’s goals.

 

The role of Training Advisors (whom you will manage) 

  • This position will guide, assist, coach and mentor a team or 14 Training Advisors located throughout New Zealand. 

  • The Training Advisors meet with apprentices, review progress reports (with the apprentices and with employers) and support these learners with pastoral care. 

  • Ultimately, they are there to help apprentices succeed in completion of their chosen course. 

  • In this context, you will help to equip the Training Advisors to be effective in their roles – whilst also being the backstop for issues they can’t resolve, or on which they need another perspective. 

  • Together, you will drive growth in apprenticeship and programme enrolments – and you will assist to increase learner completion rates.

 

What you need to have 

Due to the leadership nature of this role, we are looking for someone with experience in the following. 

  • A tertiary qualification in management, business, education of otherwise related

  • Extensive experience in educational leadership, particularly, in tertiary or vocational education

  • Stakeholder engagement – and planning to develop and partner for successful outcomes

  • Skills in training program development and implementation

  • A solid understanding of industry-specific compliance and reporting requirements

  • Strong computer literacy

 

Software 

Along with knowledge of CRM, LMS, SELMA and other client/student management applications, our client employer is looking for confidence using: 

  • MS365

  • MS Teams

  • Ideally, you will live and work in one of our client employer's main locations. (Hamilton, Tauranga, Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch).
