Background 

This is a newly created role in a business that has come a long way in a little over 5 years. 

For the right person, there will be considerable scope to make the role your own. 

The team is small enough that decision making is not bogged down in red tape – yet big enough that they have a strong position in their market niche, which is the provision of passive fire systems and fire alarms. 

Your part in the team

As the job title suggests, a key responsibility will be to drive the performance and results of the operational team.  There are four direct reports – two of whom oversee the company’s two business units. 

In summary, you will: 

·       Develop and lead a high performing team

·       Manage and optimise cashflow

·       Oversee and manage business unit teams

·       Ensure projects are meeting set budgets and programs

·       Oversee procurement, contract management and dispute resolution

·       Build relationships with clients and suppliers

·       Prepare and present monthly reports to company directors

·       Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure KPI’s are achieved

 

Salary

·       Range $100,000 to $120,000

·       Plus vehicle

Strong, clear communication will be an essential component of ensuring that your team understand the company’s overall goals – and are motivated to each contribute their part in achieving that success. 

Experience gained in the construction industry would be an advantage.   

Additionally, we are looking for someone with a solid track record in: 

·       People management

·       Project management

·       Finance and administration

·       A high level of numeracy

·       Working in a fast paced environment
