Franchise Business Coach

The timing couldn’t be more right

For more than 10 years, our client employer has grown an Australasian brand.

Instrumental to their success has been vision, patience (with themselves and with others) and strategy to recognise the areas where they can excel.

Looking ahead, this newly created position will help to ready the business for later succession planning and the likely future move to a Board run structure.

With so much within reach – coupled with their balanced, realistic ideas of what it will take to get there – now is 100% the right time to get in and cement your place as a member of the leadership team.

Your part in the team & working from home

It is envisaged that once you have started to establish good internal relationships, much of the role may be done remotely – e.g. using Zoom to get alongside people regularly.

There are three core parts to the role.

1.     Business development

Develop sales plans to increase growth in areas where there is already a Franchisee or Master Franchisee.

Create and execute a marketing plan to recruit additional Master Franchisees here and in Australia.

2.     Sales coaching

Lead by example as you assist Master Franchisees with their sales and in the development of initiatives to attract new franchisees.

Set and review goals with them regularly.

 3.     Master Franchisee support

Each Master Franchisee is an owner/operator who will need to be trained in the systems that have proven effective.

You will be a trusted coach, mentor, sounding board – and you will engage with them, hear them when they have challenges and work with them constructively to realise the most out of their business.

The person we’re after

Clear written and verbal communication will be essential components in ensuring that others understand the company’s overall goals – and are motivated to each contribute their part in achieving that success.

  • This role will harness a broad skillset – not the least of all will be your commercial acumen and ability to connect with others in a way that is pragmatic, constructive and positive.

  • Although not essential, it would be great if you have worked in a franchise business model before.

We welcome the chance to talk more with you if you have:

  • A resilient, friendly nature

  • Sales experience – this role is better suited to someone who favours long-term account management and client partnerships – as opposed to getting quick runs on the board

  • People management experience

  • Readiness to travel (at least quarterly to Australia and periodically elsewhere in NZ)

  • An ability to relate to a wide range of personalities and ethnicities

  • A planned approach to service delivery

  • A patient, empathetic outlook

  • Ideally, your track record will show that you can apply yourself for the long-run and bring others along with you
