Client Support - Outstanding opportunity

Want an employer who looks after people?

  •  This employer looks to develop their team members professionally (and this role is the result of someone stepping up internally).

  • They invest in their business to give their team the tools they need to do their job well.

  • People usually stay there a long time – it’s just a really positive place to work.

A bit of background

Over 10 years ago, this company made a splash in the market of supplying data to businesses, to help their client’s teams make well informed lending and credit decisions.  Simultaneously, they began making credit information available to individuals.

Now, they have a thriving business with over 30 employees – and they are one of the leading service providers in their niche.

Your part in the team

To the extent that our privacy laws permit, you will be providing credit information and answering the many and varied questions that arise when someone applies for credit information about themselves, another individual, or a business.  In summary, you will:

  • Respond to incoming phone and email queries

  • Be helpful – for example, to individuals who are worried about their personal credit rating – and to business customers who rely on the accuracy of the information you provide

  • Assist your colleagues to ensure that team goals and deadlines are met

Hours of work

The normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, as follows.

  • Monday to Friday start – 8:30am

  • Monday to Friday finish – 5pm

Additionally, the team take it in turns (approx one week in four) to be on call via mobile phone, i.e. you will take a company mobile home and will assist if it rings (calls are seldom received out of hours – and you are of course paid a fee when rostered on call).

  • Monday to Friday – up to 9pm

  • Saturday & Sunday – from 8am to 5pm

What you need to have

Ideally, you will have a number of years’ experience working in a customer help desk environment and some knowledge of the credit industry would be an advantage.

New to the credit industry?

If you are new to the credit industry, that may be okay, as some training will be provided.  However, as a minimum, you should have:

  • Clear written & spoken English

  • Past employment with stability – where you can demonstrate that you have assisted customers, kept internal records up to date and met deadlines

  • Some knowledge of assisting customers to get credit approval for a purchase could be helpful

  • Similarly, experience gained in an accounts role could be an advantage
